Hey everyone!
I am new to the site and just wanted to say hello andtell everyone a little about myself. I am 41 years old and have been practicing since 1986. I first started in adult critical care and then to peds critical care which is my love. After having 2 children (Jolie - 7 and Jesse - 9) and trying to balance my and their demanding schedules, I moved away from the bedside and started coordinating PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Courses which gave me flexibility with my schedule. We hold approximately 6-8 PALS Recert Courses/yr, 12-15 PALS Provider Courses/yr and one PALS Instructor Course/yr. I just recently was asked to move into our hospital's Learning Center and be a clinical educator to our on-site Children's Hospital and also Chair the Nursing Research Council and head up some Nursing Research in our facility. I am looking forward to my new challenges that lie ahead and hope that I will take advantage of this site to assist me in my new endeavors.
