Smile 48 and just starting nursing school

Hi. I'm 48 and just starting nursing school. It will take me 3 years just to get my ASN. I already have a bachelors degree in something else. Do you think I will have trouble finding a job at my age and with only an ASN. I'm in excellent health and I jog and bike ride everyday if that will help. If anyone has advice, let me know. Thanks Patty

Welcome. There are a lot of us baby boomers out there in the market and your age won't hinder you.

Keep up your physical fitness because it's hard on the old body. LOL

Re: 48 and just starting nursing school

WOOT WOOT!!!!!! Horray for us gutsy boomers who enter such a challenging program of study at this time in our lives. Good for you Patty - you are setting a wonderful example for others in our age bracket who may be tossing the idea around. Sometimes it takes a bit of chutzpa to make our dreams come true!!!!!

FYI, I will be age 47 in two weeks and am in my first semester of bsn program. WELCOME! ;-)
