Hi. I'm 48 and just starting nursing school. It will take me 3 years just to get my ASN. I already have a bachelors degree in something else. Do you think I will have trouble finding a job at my age and with only an ASN. I'm in excellent health and I jog and bike ride everyday if that will help. If anyone has advice, let me know. Thanks Patty
WOOT WOOT!!!!!! Horray for us gutsy boomers who enter such a challenging program of study at this time in our lives. Good for you Patty - you are setting a wonderful example for others in our age bracket who may be tossing the idea around. Sometimes it takes a bit of chutzpa to make our dreams come true!!!!!
FYI, I will be age 47 in two weeks and am in my first semester of bsn program. WELCOME! ;-)
:groupwelcome: GOOD FOR YOU FOR GOING BACK. I know one lady who was 58 and started her LVN program last year. within 6 months of graduating, she made ADON at a local LTC. you will do great and you will succeed. Congratuations for making the decision and good luck in your future endeavors.
