Smile 22 months and counting!...

Hi there! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Keri and I attend CCRI in Rhode Island. I just started my clinicals in September and my graduation date is 2008(god willing). I work at a nursing home as a med tech, which is great experience for me as I get to know so much about medication classifications. The nurses I work with are great too! They are so willing to demonstrate a variety of nursing skills and also let me pratice under direct supervision. I actually need some advice. We are starting the unit about fluids and electrolytes, and I am pretty overwhelmed. I did a tutorial online but I was hoping some of you may have some advice regarding online tutorials, ect..... to make this stuff sink in better! Take care!

Tired and Cranky,

Keri

Hi, Keri!

Here is a link I have on fluid and electrolytes:

http://www.indstate.edu/mary/Fluidlytecf/index.htm - a slide show presentation on fluid and electrolytes. Covers sodium, potassium and calcium and treatment including IV fluids.

Here are links to two of the nursing student forums:
http://allnurses.com/forums/f205/ - Nursing Student Assistance Forums
http://allnurses.com/forums/f50/ - the General Nursing Student Discussion forum
See you on the forums! Welcome to allnurses!
