Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I am a newly registered user, but I have been reading the posts for a couple of years now. I will be starting a 16mo nursing program on 10/29. I am really nervous but really excited too. I have experience as a phleb, EDTech, secretary, and I currently work as a Spanish Medical Interpreter so I think I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going into, but I know I have a lot to learn!
I'm thankful for all the posts. Whenever I read, even if it is just to pass the time, I leave with some helpful do's and dont's that I will try to keep in mind.
Right now I am on my 6th day in a row. I am covering as an interpreter for a large and busy hospital, (yes -- I scheduled myself this way because I wanted the OT) and I am starting to get sick. The nursing humor threads have kept me feeling well between calls better than any amount of tylenol or motrin ever could.
