IT ROCKS.
I saw my first field arrest that was successfully returned to SR last night.
One of the crews the other day stated that they attained a systolic of 130 with this machine!!!
Anyone remeber the old "Thumpers"? I was leary of the new machine because of them but these are awesome.

Our county EMS actually still have the Thumpers on the trucks! But its been several years since I saw someone brought in on one...I'll be interested to see if these show up in the future.

Just the sounds of the old thimpers used to just give me a sick feeling. I NEVER saw a successful resus from one of those. I was sooooo glad when they pulled them off the streets here.

That really looks cool. Just curious, with the SBp of 130, did the patient regain conciousness? Just curious as i bet its a distinct possibility if it's true. Curious because it'd suck to be awake during CPR...machine or otherwise!

Had pt a few months ago brought in with on, it was nice for the medics because there hands were free to do other things rather than compressions. Easy to turn off and get out of way once got to ER, not very loud either.

we have an autopulse, but i haven't heard if anyone has used it yet. I tried to get us to during one code but the lady was too big for it. It seems really neat though.
