Question Question on should I take my son to the ER???

Hi,

My daughter loves to carry money around in her purse. Well she dropped a penny and my 18 month old picked it up and ate it. He is breathing it's not stuck anywhere that I know of. Should I take him to the ER or let him go and see if he passes it?

I think you should call your pediatrician's office. Even if no one is there, they should have an answering service to contact the on-call doctor.

I'm sorry, momof4plus1hubby, but the members of Allnurses.com cannot give you medical advice.

Please call your HCP and/or take him to the ER. We hope everything turns out o.k.
