Need help please

Hi..I just got a per diem position at a hospital in downtown Los Angeles at a trauma center and was wondering what is the standard per diem pay was. I Was told by my co-worker that I am getting underpay. Any info will be helpful. Thank you!

Re: Need help please

I have no idea about LA but in NC it is about 25-40/hr depending on how many hours you work and your experience level. I am at a hosp. doing PRN work and there are 3 tiers, $25, 30, 35. A friend of mine works at a hosp. about 45 min. away and gets $41, but she has been a nurse forever so I am sure that has something to do with it. Like I said, I am on the otherside of the country, but thought I'd respond since no one else had.
