Med Ed seminars

Anyone ever take any of the Med Ed seminars? I am taking the CEN one. They boast a 98% pass rate on the CEN and money back if the exam is taken and failed within 90 days. I took a CEN exam prep course last year that was given through a local hospital and was too chicken to take the exam afterwards, because I didn't feel that it prepared me. I am hoping to feel prepared to take it this time.

Re: Med Ed seminars

I have attended several of the seminars and have been really pleased with all of them. The first one was the CEN review and I felt it had a lot of information that I was able to use.

My facility has held quite a few of different seminars and I haven't heard one complaint.

I took "Nuts and Bolts of ICU" seminar from Med-Ed, it was very good. Well qualified speakers and up-to-date material. They also had some vendors there for the nurses. Worth the money for me!

Re: Med Ed seminars

I bought the 12 dvd set and used that for review and found it to be very helpful. I took the CEN exam last week and passed with a 90%. It was really nice to get the results as soon as you finished the exam. I also used the ENA CEN review book with many multiple choice questions and it was quite similar to the CEN exam. I also purchased CEN Secrets by Morrison Media but would NOT recommend it. It was a waste of money, not helpful for the CEN at all. Good Luck, study and you will do fine.

Re: Med Ed seminars

I also used the CEN Review Manual . In fact, this was one of the few study aids I utilized. Many of the actual CEN questions were near carbon copies of questions from this book. I think the key to passing BCEN exams is test taking. I took at least one 150 question test every day for a month prior to taking the CEN. I took the tests until I scored 100% on every exam. I studied any question I answered incorrect and designed my own exams of missed questions. Taking the CEN was actually easier than my study regime. The only area that was not covered well in the material I used was some of the airway management modalities. I had several questions on LMA's and Combitubes. Thank God for my EMS background. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
