IO policy/procedure

My manager is looking for other hospital's specific policies regarding IO access. We currently do not use it, but plan to in the very near future.

Anyone who is willing to share their P/P, PM message me and I'll give you my email.

Thanks, Josh

Re: IO policy/procedure

Are you considering a particular IO device? or What do you currently use?

I ask because my ED will soon be evaluating the EZ IO.

The majority of our EMS (5 counties that we serve) have historically used the BIG or Bone Injection Gun but are transitioning to the EZ IO Device.

As with most things, cost is a factor and the EZ IO is fairly expensive.

Regards,

JJ
