I have a strange ? r/t acls...

Hi Guys.
I was wondering how many milligrams of lidocaine are usually in the prefilled crash cart syringes? I still work on med/surg and just was helping in a code tonight. I finished acls several months ago and was trying hard to follow along/participate tonight! For an unstable tachycardia with a pulse; is the dose usually 1 or 2mg/kg for lidocaine and how much are in the prefilled syringes???
Thanks
Beth

Yup- in an adult code, you usually give the whole amp (100mg)

Dose is 1.0-1.5mg/kg, but usually the whole amp is given in a code.

100mg is correct, however unstable vtach c a pulse synch. cardioversion is the treatment of choice, also you give O.5 to 0.75mg per kg if your pt has a pulse as loading dose. If the pt is in cardiac arrest (vt, no pulse) it is 1 to 1.5mg per kg.
The other option is amio 150mg in d5w over 10 min with a pulse or 300mg without.
