Well, the truth of the matter is that America has a 8th grade reading level. I bet that is exactly how an 8th grader would spell that.....

I also love it when you try to pronounce the horrible spelling in the triage interview and they pronounce it right and look at you like you are the idiot who cannot pronounce instead of the patient being the idiot who cannot spell

One of my all time favs is vomiking. I've seen this so much that sometimes I question MY spelling!

I had a pt that told me she was afraid she had the "smilin' mighty Jesus"

which is .....spinal menengitis

My son is dyslexic. He's a bright boy, but he can't spell (which is what put us onto the dyslexia in the first place). He wouldn't be able to spell if he stayed in school the rest of his life.

He hurt his lower extremity, had a buddy take a picture, and emailed it to me. Does it look sprained, Mom? Yep, it's purple.

He labeled the picture "anckle."

I like when they think they have amonia. My friend told me about a guy who took "peanutbutterball" for his seziures.
