So not a sign in slip...but a phone call....

Patient: "Hi I was wondering if your ER was busy right now?"
Me: "Sir the waiting room is empty right now, but that could change any minute"
Patient:"Ok, well my doctor said I have some sort of hernia or something, I wanted to see how busy you were before I come in"
Me: "well, like I said its empty now, but that could change"
Patient: "so what you're saying is if I hurry my herniated @$$ up I'll be ok?"

I would love to hear that person tell how he accomplished that!
