Re: Emergency Room Transition Programs

With two years of tele experience, why would you need a transition program to learn how to work in the ER? I see those tele nurses fighting with seven and eight patients all day long and sometimes consider feeling guilty when I drop yet another patient in their lap. Then, I think about my four or five patients and the fact that I do not have to do the page and call all night long to get a simple order, no do I have to worry about chart checks and MAR checks, and if I am really lucky, I get a train wreck patient and drop my load to one patient.
You should do quite well in ER.
