ED Interview.

Hi Ya'll,

On Tuesday I have an interview for a new grad position in an ED in San Francisco. Any advice? I'm obviously dressing professionally, coming early, etc. but are there some things I should or shouldn't say or do?

I really want this job. I did a 5 month preceptorship in a busy Oakland ED and was an EMT/firefighter before nursing school.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Re: ED Interview.

wildmountainchild~

I think the key to any interview is to be ureself. The ER nurses deal with a lot of bs about who what when and why. I believe they will see right through u if u try to impress them to much. Talk about things uve done in the past with work, figure out why u want to be an ER nurse. They will surely ask u ...why ER. Im not a new grad...but just went on an interview for ER and got hired in the interview. Im super excited and honored.

All I did was be myself, open and honest about my experiences and then hoped for the best.

Best of luck to you!!
