I remember a news item where it was a problem in the UK - maybe we should post in the UK forum and see if anyone there has any experience with this.

I haven't heard of this nifty device, but that reminded me of something I heard in class last semester from a student nurse who is also an EMT. She has transported teen girls who are passed out drunk from alcohol soaked tampons. Has anyone else encountered this bit of creative drinking?

This looks a lot like a regular O2 concentrator that they painted.

Would you run a risk of aspiration after a whole night of nebulizing Vodka?

Yes, I have actually seen this. There's no actual "drinking" involved, though. The mucous membranes in certain areas absorb the alcohol into the bloodstream. I'll leave it at that.

"AWOL" = Alcohol With Out Liquid

You have to admit, that is really creative marketing.

It was advertised in an issue of FHM (for him magazine) this summer. I'm sure that incited many young men to try this idea. It's quite expensive, and I thought that the price alone would deter most people from buying one. *sigh* I'm sorry to know that idiots DO have more available cash than most of us.
