texas nursing schools

I am trying to see if any BSN program in texas would accept a person with 3.1 gpa overall

i got A in a&p 1 and 2, microbiology and A- in nutrition, statistics, algebra, but i totally messed up on history classes and other easy stuffs because I don't speak perfect English and reading the thick textbooks was just stressful.

is there any hope because i am thinking if it would be just waste of my time and money to apply for schools for the fall semester if I am not going to be accepted anyways.

I might consider ADN first and transfer to BSN
but i do want to hope for BSN.....

please somebody just tell me what you think.

Try these schools:

1. Stephen F. Austin State University - BSN program (Nacogdoches, TX)
2. Tarleton State University - BSN program (Stephenville, TX)
3. Southwestern Adventist University - BSN program (Keene, TX)
4. Prairie View University - BSN program (somewhere near Houston)
5. University of Texas at Tyler - BSN program (Tyler, TX)
6. University of Texas at Arlington - BSN program (Arlington, TX)
7. Texas Christian University - BSN program (Fort Worth, TX)

I say try all the BSN programs that you can! I think (but i'm not sure) that your chances of getting in with a 3.1 are better in a BSN program then an ADN program because it seems all the ADN programs care about is straight GPR.

I say apply everywhere..BSN and ADN. You can always do a RN to BSN later . If the most important thing to do is get in a RN program don't limit yourself...apply everywhere.
