Provisional Admission- please help

Hi everyone, I just checked my online status (UT-Houston) and it says I've been granted provisional admission. Does anybody know what this means? Thanks.

Congratulations, that is good news! It means you just have to complete your pre-requisites and turn in your transcript and take care of your CPR class and immunizations. Go to UT Link under admissions status, look at "holds" and it might tell you more information. Good luck!

Re: Provisional Admission- please help

I just found out that I was accepted to UTHSC too!! I also found out last night that I was accepted to TWU Fall program (I had applied for fast track, but didn't get in). I am strongly leaning towards UT, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have pros or cons about either school.
Either way though, I am going to Nursing School in the Fall!
shyann1, I will probably be seeing you there!

Congatulations to you all for getting in!
Amm4 (or anyone else who wouldn't mind to answer)- I am working on my prerequisites to apply to UT Houston and TWU for Fall 2009. (Reg- not accelerated) If you don't mind to answer- what was your GPA, NET, and experience. I would just like to know how attainable it is to get into these schools or if I am setting myself up for failure. Thank you and congratulations again!

Hi Cailex; my overall GPA so far is 3.8 with 4.0 in the sciences. I still have 11 hours of the prereqs to knock down which will be done by the end of this semester (spring). My net score was in the 95th percentile. Hope that helps you a little bit. Just make good grades in your sciences. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow that was fast! Thanks for your response. By your grades it looks like you've worked hard-- congratulations again. I have a 4.0 right now, but I'm only a couple of semesters into it... hopefully I can keep it up! BTW how hard is the NET? I've not taken it yet... it's much more detailed than HESI right?

Thanks again!

NET has so many parts to it... but I think the Math and English part are most important. The Math part was piece of cake for me but English was a nightmare. I barely had enough time to do all the questions. I'm even surprised I did so well. I guess that means it's doable.

Thanks for your response! I'll just have to stay focused through these last few semesters and hopefully I'll be sitting where you are in a year!

I'm very positive you will. You are off on the right track with 4.0 so far. I didn't have a 4.0 in my first semester so go figure!! I wish you the very best!!!!!!
