Methodist Hospital RN Shifts

Does anyone how the 12-hr shifts work at Methodist Houston? I'm wondering if the shift is only 3 days per week, then the paycheck would consist of only have 72 hours. I know they let you clock in a little before the shift but this does not make up for the lack of hours? Is there anyway to make up the hours, to get closer to 80, or do you have to request overtime?

Re: Methodist Hospital RN Shifts

I'm not at Methodist, but I know a lot of med center hospitals do 3 a week and count that as full time.

There is self-scheduling in our department. You are able to schedule 3 days max per week, and after a certain point and everyone's put their shifts in, you can add an extra day or so. Almost all the full-timers have no problems working 3/4 pay periods.
