How difficult is ACC ADN program and Texas Tech 2nd Degree program?

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to do the Austin Community College ADN on line program? What is the time commitment? What days and hours do I need to arrange for child care?

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to do the Texas Tech 2nd Degree web based program? What is the time commitment? How insane is this, if you have kids and alot to take care of at home?

Re: How difficult is ACC ADN program and Texas Tech 2nd Degree program?

I don't know about the ACC online track but I am currently in my final semester with ACC, and it has been very time demanding. It is very intense but will be soooo worth it in the end. From the 1st semester I think there were like 3 days of lecture/lab and then 2 clinical. Then 2nd was about the same and 3rd and 4th are like 1/2 day lecture/lab then 2 days clinical. You really have to commit yourself to the studying. It is REALLY important that you make time for it. There are alot of students in my class who are in the program, and have kids and they do probably the best. I decided to quit my job the beginning of this year to really focus and bring my grades up, and it really helped. However, there are tons of students who work and are in their final semester. Though they do say that you shouldn't work more than 20hours a week. You should definitely get into the program, especially since it doesn't take 2years to get in anymore!!!
