Help me! I am tired of being cancelled 2 hrs before my shift. Which Houston agencies are the best agencies to work for? My specialty is NICU.

Why don't you get a contract? SO you are guaranteed for your hours? Agency contract nurses is a hit in our hospital. Nobody would do prn now.

try getting a contract......guarnatee your pay and hours? most nurses can get one by establishing yourself with floor mgr and staffing office and then they set it up with your agengy so offer them a month trial and see where you go from there when you are dependable and know your stuff they will want to keep you as pay some unknown agengy nurse to come in or worse ask their regular staff to stay and do over time....many hopitals have their own agencies within themselves. ie: memorial hermann-premier, md anderson- etc, so check with each hospital to see what they offer as well as some of the nationwide agencies: maxim, intelistaf, nursefinders, advantage, etc. good luck
