Does Cityview Care Center (off Bryant Irvin) offer a CNA course?

Re: Cityview Care Center

I believe they recently started offering CNA courses within the past few months to people with no healthcare experience. However, you'll need to work for this facility after you earn your CNA certification, so be aware that this place offers pay rates that are low and not competitive. Cityview pays $9.50 hourly to their CNAs, when you can earn in the $10 to $13 hourly range at other facilities in the Fort Worth area. This is just some food for thought.

By the way, Fort Worth Nursing and Rehab Center also offers a CNA course. This facility is located in downtown Fort Worth, within the major hospital district.

Re: Cityview Care Center

You are such a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!!!

Now - who are these folks that start out at $13? Thats who I wanna work for.
Right now I'm just in an office position that has nothing in the world to do with anything health/medical related.I'm making about $15 an hour. Since I'm the only breadwinner, we live off only what I bring home. Don't think we could make it on $9.50 hr., but $13 is definatly do-able.

Many of the major area hospitals pay their PCTs (patient care technicians) in the $11 to $13 range per hour.

Re: Cityview Care Center

Commuter do you still work there? I know I had read somewhere that you had switched jobs... To the OP contact me by PM if you are interested in becoming a CNA , they are about to start a new class at my job at the beginning of August. They do not pay what Cityview pay's but I know the training is good. Now I work in Johnson County so that may be a little out of the way for you...If you are interested I can give you the contacts ...

Nope. After 2 years of employment with that place, I mustered the strength to resign about 6 months ago.
