If I were in your position, I would no longer consider Chamberlain. First of all, they may take a long time to go back to accepting out of state students or may never do so. Secondly, by their very actions since they have acquired Deaconess, they have proven themselves to be unstable. Look for a program that has a good track record and is likely to be in existence at the end of your nursing school experience.

do you really think they are a bad school? and if you don't mind me asking may i ask why is that caliotter3. also i really don't have many other options as for other schools because i need something online. Do you know of any other schools that offer online nursing courses? another thing is when i finished high school i considered this program but was told to do some general education course when i finish with high school so i focused alot of time into getting their required general education course. and you don't have to go to school until five pm.

Re: chamberlain college of nursing

Deaconess School of Nursing had an excellent reputation for many years before it was bought out by DeVry, a for profit entity. It has been downhill since then. Read the posts on the threads from students that talk about Chamberlain. Any school that dumps it's enrolled students while they are in progress, is not a good school. Deaconess was dealing with out of state students. So what is the problem with the DeVry personnel? They also dumped the LPN opt out portion of their program. Basically, it has been less and less since DeVry took over. Some of the students who just got dumped are suing Chamberlain, which is totally understandable. When you pay that kind of money for something, you should get what you pay for.

If you need an online or distance nursing program you should look at Excelsior or Indiana State University. There are also several other new schools opening up around the nation. Just do a google search for distance nursing schools or online nursing schools and you will find what is available. You can also find some ads on this website for schools. Good luck.

I know you started this program and wanted to ask where you had to go to do your clinicals (town).

The financial aid process is the same as any other school. You'll start by completing a FAFSA to see what you qualify for. The cost is comparable to the other schools in Texas. The program is self-paced, so how long it takes depends on you.

I'm in the BSN program and I've done most of my clinicals in College Station. There are 2 rotations that can be completed in Dallas. As far as I know, all of the clinical sites for the ADN program are in the Corpus area. I know most people are interested in the ADN program and I'm not really sure why they don't have more clinical sites.

Re: chamberlain college of nursing

Are there any online nursing schools, that I can get my RN at to become a nurse in GA? I don’t have a RN as of yet but I want to get one and wanted to know are there any online schools out there I can go to without having to move to another state. Because most of the ones I called you have to be in that state will I live in GA and I am happy for now with no plans on moving.
Any recommendations would be most helpful thanks in advance.
