BSN programs with a another bach degree

Hello, all. Does anyone know any good programs here for obtaining your BSN when you already have a degree? Mine is Bach of Arts in Bus. Mgt.

Thanks for any input.

ETSU in Johnson City has a good 2nd degree program. I graduated with several people who got their BSN this way. Its an 18 month long program. Here's a link for more details about the program:

I am obtaining a second degree (BSN) after already obtaining a bachelor's degree (in music). You just have to look at a prospective school's nursing program and see if they have a second degree program. Most of them do, and often there is an accelerated program. I am in Memphis, and there are 4 places to get a second BSN degree! I am accepted to the University of Memphis to start in August, and I'm very excited! It all depends on where you live, and if you are willing to relocate. You can always e-mail admissions of a prospective school with questions as well. Good luck!

I didn't see where in TN you are. If you're in the nashville area, Belmont U has an accelerated program. It's one year + one semester, and you take classes in the summer. They only accept students for the accelerated program in the Fall. Belmont has a 100% NCLEX pass rate, I highly recommend it! (www.belmont.edu)

Re: BSN programs with a another bach degree

I had a BA in English (from a private university) before I attended TSU's BSN program. A lot will depend on which prereqs will apply toward your nursing degree. I spent a year taking everything from chemistry to US History, micro & stats. Plus two years for the nursing degree itself & it added up to 3 years of schooling. Almost makes me wish I'd gone through the bridge program at Vandy.

Check the required courses & find out how many of your classes from your previous degree will apply. Good luck to you!
