After what seems like an eternity (ok, being way dramatic here) Maxim has called me back, does anyone here work for them, or know anything about them really? I just saw the opening on careerbuilder.com and applied, and to my surprise they called like ten mintues later. If anybody knows anything about that agency, please let me know. Thanks all, and thanks for your support.

I have worked for them in the past, for a very short period, too much nonsense with the office personnel, they had a large turnover rate there among office staff, some difficulty with pay on time, ended up being more of a hassel then it should have been for a part time job. they are busy, but i had a problem with relating to them or trusting them. most of the other nurses shere also having issues with them and were dissatisfied, and were searching for different positions. seems these people would promise anything to fill there open shifts but delivered little . this particular agency not in tenn.

I have known two nurses who worked for Maxim. Both of these nurses "fired" the agency. These were stable, experienced nurses, and I trust their opinions.

Thanks you guys for your replies. I decided not to go with them and accepted a full time position with St. Thomas Hospital. The thing that helped with my decision is that when I went into the office to meet with them, the only people that were there were like five guys who had to be twenty five or younger. I'm only 20, but the thought that somebody that young would be signing my pay checks really bothered me. They were very immature acting; even to the point of hitting on me. Not a suitable work environment, so I decided against it. Thanks for the replies; I do appreciate your input.

Maxim must be operating in several states, because they operate nursing agencies here in Texas.

I work strictly once a year for flu clinics for them. I'm a fairly new LPN and told them until I get more confidence and experience that I wouldn't to Ltc facilities. I will again be doing the flu clinics this year, I haven't had any problems, but then again I haven't really done much.

Can you tell me about the flu clinics? I am a bedside nurse and wanted to do PRN with the clinics. You can PM me if you like. Thanks.

I have been working for Maxim, in Nashville, for almost a year and love them! They are in their 20's and yes they sign my paycheck and yes they do goof around occasionally. But geez, I'm 53 and have fun and goof around at work sometimes!! They are very professional and I have never had a problem with them.

What is the pay? Is it different for PRN clinics such as flu clinics or well clinic? Thanks for info so far...
