Question Possible new position

Hi, I am an LPN and was just offered a new position for Nursing Director of and Assistant Living facility in Bucks County but do not know as of yet if I should accept the position. There are alot of problems with the facility and some state violations that need to be addressed where can I find out what type of inservices to start offering. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At present I am the night shift supervisor so this will be a big change for my schedule and time.

Re: Possible new position

Inservices presented should be based on deficiencies and included as part of correction action plan to state. Unless your facility is willing to pay $$$ to puchase inservices from an estabilished company, you will need to prepare them youself. There are no places one go's to obtain this info.

Sorry to come across stern, but a DON should already posess this knowledge... and to have chosen a user name at allnurses for a job you do not yet pocess is troublesome to me. Suspect you will be in over your head and be submitted to feeding frenzy by organization in short time. Please reconsider this position.

This link will take you to PA Dept Health facility list where you can locate your facility & state inspection records to view deficiencies:
