HI

I am interviewing for a job at HUP in L&D. Do you have any tips? Do you know what their starting pay is? and shift differentials?

THanks

Re: HUP/UPenn

If you are a new grad, the starting pay at Penn is $27.32/hr. You'll see about $1500 every two weeks (city wage is a *****). I've been at Penn since October. I work on one of the craziest units in the hospital (to remain nameless). It's very stressful. There are days where I just want to cry. But from what I hear, it's just because of the unit I work on, not nursing itself. I'll admit, I've learned a lot since I've started there though. And after a year of not working b/c of nursing school, that paycheck looks very nice twice a month! If you work overtime, expect an hourly rate of $40-45/hr!!!! Good luck!
