CA RN planning to work in PA

hi! i'm from the philippines and i just took the exam last friday (may 9th). i know that i will still have to wait for 2-4 weeks for the results. but i just wanna know if SSN is really required before i get my license (just in case i pass the exam )?

if i need to get an SSN first, what actions can you guys suggest me to take if i plan to work in PA since my parents & sister live there. they told me that in PA, SSN is the last step. what do you think i should do? can i get a temporary license in CA (assuming that i passed the exam) so that i can present a proof that i'm a registered nurse in CA?

hope you can help me out guys.. thanks!!
