Uh...I bet nobody wants to recommend the hospital you are leaving, so you might not get a lot of replies. All hospitals seem to have their moments. Some suck less than others.

Thank you for reply. Do you mean all hospitals in pittsburgh suck? and I can not find any hospital to work 3 12 hours shift and just in one unit? becouse right now I work 5 days a week and the most obnoxious things which happens a lot is I start my shift in one unite and then after 4 hours they want me in other unit, so I should start all over within just 4 hours.
Is there any hospital in pittsburgh that is a little more organazied?

Re: Any one from pittsburgh?

I work at AGH. Most of us work 3 twelves, some work 2 eights and 2 twelves. We don't get pulled all over the hospital, occasionally we'll be pulled to bail out one of the other units (infrequently). We have PDP pool nurses that float in teams, they occasionally work four hours here/there/everywhere, but they are paid a good bit more to do that.

Re: Any one from pittsburgh?

I work at UPMC. Our ICU nurses do 3 x 12hr shifts, they occasionally have to go to another ICU, but rarely. Not sure about the floor nurses.
