I answering to bump it, I have the same questions.

My co-worker & I were just discussing this yesterday as well as how clinical hours count less than didactic hours???????

It as a contract issue, especially if there is a faculty union. I work at a technical college-PN program where we are with students 400 hours per quarter for class, lab and clinical. For 6 contact hours with students we are paid for 7 1/2 hours for prep time conferenecing etc. Doesn't leave any time to develop new curriculum.
the community college down the way pays faculty for lecture time and prep time, but the p/t faculty don't get enough hours for benefits....
