MSN w/ emphasis on education on-line programs

Hello. I have finally overcome my nerves and joined this site. Over the last few years I have often read the questions and comments, but have been intimidated to join and oh-my gosh actually post something! Well here goes, I have been an OB nurse for over 6 years and am researching MSN on-line programs for nurse educators. I am a little overwhelmed by all the on-line programs available and am curious about any recommendations for some with good reputations and affordable that someone has actually tried. All and any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, OBRN24/7

Re: MSN w/ emphasis on education on-line programs

Hi and welcome to All Nurses. I did my MSN (management and leadership focus) with University of Phoenix online. Yes - it is expensive, but it was quick and except for being labor-intensive, it was still easier than going to a brick and mortar school. They do have an education focus also. Good luck.

Hello, OB/RN24/7 and welcome to allnurses.com and the Nurse Educator forum

I am not certified, but am an educator (OB, cardiac). VickyRN is also a moderator for this forum. She is a CNE and should be along to help you as well.

The University of South Alabama (USA) is an excellent online institution with a Nurse Educator track. Here is the link:

Enjoy the site.

Re: MSN w/ emphasis on education on-line programs

I'll be starting MSN with Ed focus later this month through Indiana Wesleyan on line. I've met others through this site who are currently attending this program; perhaps they'll respond!

I attended East Carolina University's MSN-Nursing Education program and graduated a little over a year ago. I highly recommend the program and it is totally online
