Master in Nursing?

Hello,

I have my BS in Public Health and plan to pursue a degree in nursing. Can I go directly to Masters in Nursing? If so, how can I go about it. Any response is well appreciated.

Thank you.

This is how I understand it, let me use an example:

Is there a program for students who have a bachelor’s in non-nursing field to get masters degree? Yes, applicants who are a RN, but have their bachelor’s in a non-nursing field need to submit a portfolio with their application packet. Instructions for completing the portfolio are available in the last page of the application packet: http://www.midwives.org/source/Admis...pplication.pdf
You would first need to go though a nursing program, just a basic two year one from what I understand.
Hope this helps

The search needs to be done on this site, not the nurse educator forum.
Yes, there are programs out there that you can go into a direct entry MSN program if you already have a bachelor's degree in another area. You will still have pre-reqs to complete. You will find quite a bit of information about this on Allnurses.com but not it in the Nurse Educator forum as it doesn't pertain to them.
