I am an older lpn student at a local community college and I am just about to begin my actual nursing classes. I have been reading several threads in the nursing student forum that involve students being dismissed from their programs.
I realize grades, attendance, and clinical performance all factor into your success as a student. For what other reasons would a student be dismissed from a nursing program?
Is there any advice you would give to someone who has never been in the medical field ? I do have STNA certification and CPR and I want to leave my current job soon for an entry level position at a local LTC. My grades are strong thus far but I am spooked after reading these posts. Any advice would be appreciated.
