Free CEU's Online from Center for Clinical Excellence

Nellcor and Puritan Bennett are pleased to announce two new course offerings for the online Center for Clinical Excellence, an accredited education website that offers a convenient way for nurses and respiratory therapists to earn free continuing education credits from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).

The first new course offering, titled "Pneumonia: The Facts", provides an overview of the causes, classifications, risk factors and methods used to diagnose pneumonia. The second new offering, titled "VAP: It is Preventable", focuses on ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), including preventive strategies, methods of diagnosis and information about the financial impact of VAP on healthcare.

Other current respiratory course topics include:
Managing Hypoxemia on the General Care Floor
Caring for Pediatric Tracheostomy Patients
Identifying Patients at Risk for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

For more information, or to enroll for these courses, please visit www.ccexcellence.org.
