Re: Platt?

My current clinical instructor used to be a clinical instructor for Platt and all I can say is I wouldn't waste my money on the OKC Platt. I have heard NOTHING good about that program.

well....I have decided that I am not going to worry about Platt or have anxiety over it....its just a school...so I am going to have a goal...just to get in there do my best give it my all...and if it is a bad school there is nothing I can do about that I will roll with the punches! But if it just happens to be not so bad...than that s great it worked out okay for me haha ...I dont expect alot out of people or schools I expect alot out of myself...it will be up to me if I graduate or not..not the school they are just the stepping stone...than again we shall see

Re: Platt?

When I was gathering information about the nursing (LPN) schools I was potentially interested in attending, I couldn't get any questions answered from them. A lot of dodging, which made me a little weary.

Hopefully they are better once you're actually enrolled. I wish you good luck! Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Platt?

Have a quick questions please...

Maybe I am not "catching" something here re Platt. How can you bridge LPN-RN in one year, if you don't have any pre-reqs? Or must you have the pre-reqs for admission?

Thanks...

Re: Platt?

For anyone considering going to the platt lpn to rn here is something you might want to consider. I am currently in their program in okc. I eventually want to go on to get my BSN and I contacted several colleges about their RN to BSN and was told that because i got my degree at platt I would still have to do their traditional program because they will not accept their degree because it is from a vo tech not a college. I am now going back to platt to officially disenroll from their classes. I have already signed up for classes again at occc to finish all of the pre reqs so that this fall I can hopefully start next fall at OCU Kramer School of Nursing. Good luck to anyone that is going to Platt. However, do not believe everything they tell you. Was told that they were accrediated by NLNAC and they arent because i went to the website and Platt's name is not on there much less a visit scheduled. They also told me that the degree would transfer knowing that i would be going on to get BSN and after contacting other colleges it doesn't. SNU states that they are thinking about it. No other college would even consider their degree. Frustrated beyond belief. Anywho if you are going to go to platt and they tell you anything get it in writing or do alot of research before you shell out that kind of money. Good luck to all.

Smile Re: Platt?

well I thought I would give everyone an update. After much consideration and research and suggestions from this forum I have decided to disenroll from PLATT. I would have started 16th of APRIL . I didn't want to believe all the negative feed backs and I have heard some positive feedbacks about the school as well but the neg I feel were more accurate and honest and the tuition for PLATT is insane to say the least . I want to thank everyone for their input on this topic! take care

Re: Platt?

I just graduated from Platt/Tulsa with my LPN, and I am about to start the RN program. It is expenseve and very intense...but well worth it. I loved all my instructors and my clinical instructors were even better.
good luck!
