Anyone work there? Willing to pass along information? Moving to Cincinnati to take a job there in June...what are the areas like?

I have a daughter who has worked there for 3 years, although not in nursing, and she has excellent benefits. She has a sweet job for her education and pay.

I have a friend (RN also) who worked there for 3 years, and she told me horror stories! The pay was excellent, but the staff was much younger (she was in her early 50's) and she was constantly given the worse assignments, on the worse units, and fault was being found with her over and over. She had to document everything thoroughly to protect her license. She is a good nurse and worked 8 years in hospice alone! I got the impression that older nurses were not appreciated.

Another friend I went to nursing school has been there for 16 years in the NICU and loves it. Wouldn't trade it for anything!

I guess it all depends on the unit, your superiors, level of skill and confidence. At any rate, I wish you the best, and make the experience good for you!
