Best areas in charlotte to live

Hello all,

I am moving to Charlotte and worried how to choose good place to live. Can anyone please help me which specific area should I avoid and which should I consider. I am concerned with safety. Thanks.

Re: Best areas in charlotte to live

i've lived in charlotte all my life and can maybe give a tiny bit of insight. the north side of charlotte going towards huntersville could be considered relatively new and pretty family friendly. good schools, good shopping, relatively quiet. the east side of charlotte holds probably the biggest amount of charlottes middle class. it has the uncc area, great restaurants, great entertainment, but its pretty busy. safety is probably a slightly bigger issue here than the north. the south holds charlottes upper middle to upper class. this area is always growing and its very beautiful. you can find anything you need at all in this area and safety is rarely ever an issue. and lastly the west side. high crime rate...and thats all i'll say since that was your main concern. if u have any questions about any area or anything else let me know!
