Yea I have all of my liberal arts completed. But I do have to do A&P1/2, Micro, and Pharmacology. I was gonna try to knock out A&P this summer, but my son is due July 2nd so I'll miss Summer Session 1. The school told me they weren't letting people break up A&P anymore, since every school has different ways they teach 1 or 2. So I'm holding out til the fall.
well for the night class the a&p 1/2 instructor came up to the school so we didnt have to go to QCC. the only class that they could not provide was micro and from my understanding they were tryting to do the same for the day class also( having all classes on campus is such an easier day)

dont remember are you day or night?
welp, you will have nu101 fundamentals,nu102 drug calc,nu103,theraputic interactions(piece of cake class),psych 1, A&P 1. and one clinical rotaion per weak x 6weeks.....now if your in the day im not sure but you still might have to go to QCC if they havent arrange for the instructors to come to you, like the evening class. all classes usually mean 5 days a week 8 hour days but in class times will vary.

Can you tell me in detail how nursing school is...b/c i just dont know what to expect?? Another thing, when do you take Med/Surg?? Also do u still work as a paramedic while attending school....is it even possible to work while in nursing school?? Sorry I have so many questions, but you've already started and your very informal....Thanks again

yes the program is still four semsters for me(2yrs) without the breaks its more like 14 months lol.. yes i came in with nothing, first semester i took five classes 18creds it is doable but harder. basically it will be your whole life, inclass 4-5 days. the first semester you will have fundamentals and you will go to clinicals at either mary immaculate in queens or st johns once a week. ontop of that, dsage calc class 1hr and your theraputic interactions class 3hours. you will have to take A&P I and psch I . next semester you will take med/surg I wich has two clinical days per week plus your human growth and A&P II.
LUCKLY, I work three 12 hour shifts at mount sinai friday, saturday and sunday overnight so the only days that are stresful are monday morningsand friday evenings( no sleep )
it will be the hardest thing you have ever done, BUT IT IS DO-ABLE!
keep the questions coming i dont mind....

FUNDAMENTALS: the first half you are in class and skills lab with the whole class. towards the the last seven weeks the class is broken into ABCD groups and you clinically rotate with your group on the day you would normally have skills, either tues or thurs. youll prob here from them a week before you start,lol..for me, i heard and then had orientation and first day of classes all in the same week...uniforms you have to purchase. the school will tell you were to getem( theres only one store they are overpriced, and the uniforms are horrid colors) white bottoms blue pinstripe tops..uglier for the ladies heheheh..
