Does anyone know what the starting salary for a new grad is?
I've heard 62-64k for NSLIJ, but curious to confirm it, and hear about differentials, etc.
I just started at Winthrop in April. $62,000 base for Associates degree, $63,500 with a BSN. Night differential is $6,500 a year. I don't know about North Shore LIJ, but I do know that their HR department is a nightmare. I chose Winthrop because they have a really long orientation program (can be up to like 5 months!) and they make sure you know what you're doing before you go on your own. Plus, Winthrop's HR department was a lot less dysfunctional.
The starting salary for NSLIJ is $62,085 but we just received a 3% cost-of-living raise, night differential is $5,200, I'm not sure what the BSN differential is.
I was offered 72k for NSLIJ w/ my 2yrs experience ,BSN. This is day shift so I don't know about night diff. But I'm still thinking about it because of the rotation sched after the 6 mos orientation in the OR. Winthrop's rate, I heard is ok close to 65k for a new grad. Anybody know what the shifts are in winthrop?
