[Baby Catcher, CNM]

My hsuband may be transferred to Albuquerque and I was wondering what the job market for nurse midwives is like. Does anyone have any insight?

I work L&D and we use CNM's at our hospital. There is a CNM program at UNM so you would compete with those graduates but I think you would be able to find a job, all hospitals in the Albuquerque area use CNM's. There are no birth centers so you would have to work hospital or do home biths or travel to the more rural areas that use CNM's.
