The only ADN program I know of that doesn't require a "Do or Die" exit exam, is Del Tech in Georgetown, DE. NY nursing schools, do not require a HESI, but they do require a very, very high score on the NCLEX to get your license. (2nd only to California)
Wait a sec..... do you mean you need a high NCLEX pretest to graduate? Because the NCLEX is the same test, no matter where you take it. And you can't take it until you complete all coursework. I took it in NJ, and got licenses in NY, NJ and SC. All each state requires is that you pass the NCLEX, and some, like NY, require additional ceu's in child abuse and infection control in order to get a license...
NCLEX is pass/fail. There are no scores assigned. You can pass with 265 questions or 75.... you can also fail at 265 or 75.
Maybe I'm just confused...
