There is a class that is finishing up this week in the ocean county vo tech. Would anyone would like to sell their books to me? I would really appreciated it. I'll send you the book list. Tell me what you've got.

I just graduated from OCVTS, but they are changing almost every book we used for the upcoming year. My niece is starting in September also, and I cannot even give her more than 1 or 2 - they changed the uniforms also, and now it is required that you wear scrubs on lab days......something we didn't have to do.....gl to you

I just graduated from OCVTS, I'm confused, we had to wear our uniforms on lab days...but I did hear they are changing their uniforms. They are now going to be pinstripses. My adivice to the first poster is to call Mrs. Price the vice-principal of nursing and ask her which books are being changed. Good luck, it's a year of hell, but you can do it!

just graduated also.....have you gotten a test date yet? anyway.....i saw the new uniforms in Life Uniform....they look similar to the old ones....collar is a little different, and it has some royal blue piping on the top.....pants are the same.......and now even class B will be wearing blue scrubs on lab days.......i am still awaiting my
ATT........and from what i understand, new nutrition book, and cannot use any old versions of any books in the upcoming year......i had the older (blue) med-surg book, and cannot pass it down to my niece...if you have all newest versions from last year, should be ok, except for nutrition

Re: Attn: Graduating class LPN from OCVTS

hello,

No I didn't get a test date yet, but I did submit a little later than others. I am waiting to hear. I'm trying to study and prepare myself. Do you know anyone from class that took it and passed?

I do have the new edition books so I'll have to let the other poster know. Are you going on for your RN or are you going to wait a bit? Have you heard of any facilities that are hiring that offer decent pay? I would like to make about $22, I think that's reasonalble, but I think I want to work 3 12 hours shifts 7-3. Any ideas?

doing the same here...studying, studying, studying......are you using the sticky "anyone up for random fact throwing?" it is amazing....i have been "filing" all of the facts i am getting on here, and using Saunders' book (going to use Suzanne's plan...still working on the book while i await my ATT.....i sent my packet on Monday, the 21st)....I have heard about a few nursing homes in the area that pay pretty well....not sure about RN yet...one day i want to start online classes NOW, the next i have had enough and want to just work....lol

No problem, let me know which books you need. I guess I won't be needing them anymore anyway. When I go for my RN I'll have to buy all new ones...ughh. Glad I could help.

Thanks for the tip about B. L. Village...by the way what is CPL?

Re: Attn: Graduating class LPN from OCVTS

Joanie Dee,

I don't understand the whole Suzanne's plan thing. Do we have to pay or does she just want us to read Saunders? I'm hoping the NCLEX will be mostly critical thinking type questions. I did really well on my Arnett and NLN's so hopefully it will be similar. Happy studying!
