What travel companies are already in the Reno/Sparks area?

I plan to begin a travel nurse career (looking for a place to settle down at) in January. The #1 place I think I would want to settle down is Reno, so I am going there first.

I don't want to spend alot of time filling out applications and skills checklists with various travel companies only to find out that they don't even have a contract with any hospital in the Reno area. I'd rather find out who already has travelers in that area, and then fill out the applications and skills checklists for those specific companies.

Can anyone help me?

I know of a few travel nurses at Renown Health (Formerly Washoe Med) who are currently on assignment through Medical Express.

Two of the major hospitals here are Renown Health (www.washoemed.com), who *just* changed their name from Washoe Med like yesterday, and Saint Mary's (http://www.saintmarysreno.com). It may be worth it to call their HR departments, explain you're looking to relocate to Reno, and ask what agencies they're giving assignments to.

Also, if you have any questions about the area, feel free to PM me. I can't really speak too much about working conditions, as I'm a nursing student who doesn't start clinicals until next week, but I can let you know if the housing your agency proposes is in a nice area of town, direct you to websites about local events, etc. Reno is so many different things, depending on how you want to experience it!
