Micro and 224 @ same time?

Okay, so I'm a mommy of a 2 and a half yr old and 12 yr old, I was scheduled for just taking Micro for Fall, being that I had it planned I would take 224 again in Summer, well that fell through. Soooo, I got Micro in there for Fall, I registered today for 224 as well...But I'm thinking it might not be a good idea to try taking both in the same semester, has anyone done this and has kids and work a part time job? I know i had a hard time w/ just 224 in Spring. I just wanna get in the application before March..But guess i'll have to wait til Fall 2009? or spring 09? Don't wanna wait that long. I should've graduated in 2006, but got prego and couldn't do all of it. So just need some help figuring out and seeing if it is possible.

Re: Micro and 224 @ same time?

I took Micro and 223 together in the Spring. It was hard and very time consuming, but I got A's in both, so it is possible. I have 3 kids- 2, 5, and 14. I don't work though, but if I did and could have squeezed in some studying on the job it would have been helpful. I just finished 224 last week and loved the summer session. Very intense, but it was over in a flash. Well worth it. Good luck.

Thumbs up Re: Micro and 224 @ same time?

I just completed Micro in the first summer term at local community college. I only worked weekends and studied all the time. I do not have any children. God Bless you. I took A&P II in the spring semester. Got B in A&P and an A in Micro. With hard work and determination you can do it!!!

Re: Micro and 224 @ same time?

I'm sure it can be done. It has been over 5 yrs since taking those classes and I don't think too much has changed. However from my experience Bio 224 was harder than 223, so taking micro w/ it is going to take up a good chunk of time. Not to mention both classes have labs. I don't know what nursing program you are interested in, but if you take both and don't do well you will probably have to retake the class which is expensive and even more time consuming in the long run. Either way you go, good luck!!!!!!

I took A&P II, Micro and 3 other classes and pulled an A- in A&P II and A's in the other 4 classes, but I had no life!

Re: Micro and 224 @ same time?

Thank you ladies! I wanna get this stuff over..But I'm scared of not doing good and then having to redo them or not getting a good GPA cause I messed up! If I knew forsure I had the help I needed I'd do it. But I was only pulling a C in 224 in Fall last time, so probably won't be such a good idea! Thank you!
