Studying for the Certifying Exam

I am a senior SRNA coming up on 6 months until graduation. I took the Valley Anesthesia Course, I have the cards and the ""sweat book", in addition to the variety of anesthesia textbooks everyone here probably has. Those who have successfully taken the test, I am asking how you studied. Thanks.

sweat book at least once maybe twice. memory master/cards at least twice. return to problem areas frequently. avoid marathon study sessions....study in blocks of 45 min to a hour to avoid fatique.

One of our instructors said last week that they have changed the exam recently and that the Valley Review is less relevant. Anybody else heard this?

I have not heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me with all the stuff that recently went on regarding boards. I think the Valley Review will still be beneficial in reviewing all the information I have already forgotten!

I’m curious to hear if anyone else has heard of recent changes to the “big quiz”

I plan on using the following:

Valley and Memory Master
Jensen’s Big Blue Anesthesiology Review
Re-read Morgan and Mikhail when the new edition comes out
Offer weekly sacrifices to the gods…
