Questions regarding Duke's CRNA program

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. I was just accepted to Duke Universitys CRNA program. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for places to live around or on campus, and about the program in general. Is there anyone else out there that has been accepted for Jan 06? Thanks.

congrats on your acceptance!!! I don't have any words of advice for you specifically about Duke. Just wanted to wish you lots of luck. Enjoy this time before you start b/c you are going to be working your tail off real soon.... so do some fun things before you head off to school... :hatparty:

Submit a post to the NC forum. There's a few folks from Durham there. Congratulations!

Congratulations on being accepted to Duke! I am a current junior in the program. I'd be happy to answer questions you might have. Sometime soon, the school should assign a senior "buddy" to you (someone from my class). Until then, I can field some questions. I think I may be the only one from the program on allnurses.

Check out the following link for housing advice:

It also depends on if you want to live in Durham or Chapel Hill. I have some personal biases about this. send me a private message if you want more info.

And....see you in January! Dang, I can't believe I'm almost a senior!

Hi Williams,
I just found out that I was accepted at Duke also, and was just perusing the realtor ads via the internet. Its really hard when your not familiar with the area. If you get any good advise on a safe ( I have two kids) area, please let me know. Weren't you ecstatic when you found out, I sure was. Are you originally from the NC area, I'm from TN. :hatparty: :hatparty: :hatparty:

Congratulations!! Good to hear from you. I will be new to the area, I am currently in Chicago. I think I am going to try out campus housing at first. I was very happy when I got the letter, I couldnt believe it. I thought I would just apply and see what happens, I didnt really excpect too much but was pleasantly surprised. I do not know anything about the area so if you hear anything pass it on. See you soon.
