Propofol providers

Oh boy. Check this out. Seems the misunderstanding cowboys have gotten together, united, and formed a coalition of "just enough sedation" propofol providers and spewed forth some not exactly factual information.

God help us.

www.drnaps.org

Some of the FAQ sections are quite hilarious concerning levels of sedation and the State Board of Nursing opinions.

Re: Propofol providers

Oh my...

Somehow I don't see JCAHO, BONs, & the ASA fighting for a spot on this bandwagon.

"Yes, your honor,"..."I gave 'just enough'..."...

Re: Propofol providers

That site looks a little dead to me. The last update was in December of 2004, and there is only one page of information there. I hope they came to their senses and backed off on the training.

These doctors are the leading proponents in Oregon and promoting across country that RN's can safely administer Propofol.

Re: Propofol providers

Propofol is labled as an anesthetic. No one but a CRNA/MDA should be administering this drug.
