Question Privileges

I am trying to create a clinical privilege list for CRNA's at an acute care hospital. Do any of you CRNA's see a problem regarding privileges that seems to be a trend at facilities in which you provide care? I want to make sure that I don't leave anything out or make it longer than necessary for applicants.

What is it exactly that you are looking for?

I am non-clinical and have been assigned the duty of overhauling all Allied Health privileges for our facility. Makes sense huh? Anyway, I currently have a privilege list for CRNA's in place but I believe it was copied verbatim from Navy Core privilges. I don't feel that it's really up to standards for our hospital. I'm looking for sample privilege lists as well as input and comments from any CRNA's regarding adverse issues that they seem to encounter when applying for privileges. I'd like to ensure those are dealt with now vs. later. I want our CRNA's to be happy and they seem to have a pretty good relationship with our Anesthesia department. Any thing you have to offer would be appreciated. Thanks. Nichol
