Nurse anesthetist traineeship

Did any of you CRNAs receive a nurse anesthetist traineeship during your second year of school. Other than being in school full time, are there any other stipulations? How much is the average award? I do not plan on working when I begin my clinical next fall, and I am trying to pay for everything out of my pocket without getting student loans. My tuition for my Masters degree courses are bad enough now even if I am working full time. Things are going to get much worse when I am not working since I am paying over $500 a credit. I am thankful that I have the option of completeing the 18 university credits prior to beginning the didactic studies next fall, because things would have been a lot more bleak financially!

No, am not planning on getting any $ at all. If you need a scholarship, go to Scholarships.com and they will customize your profile to your needs, then e mail the results and deadlines to you as they become available.
Are you going to go to school in the US or UK?

I am going to school in the US. But my research has indicated that there are nurse anesthetist traineeships available to students beyond twelve months of study in a CRNA program. The school I will be attending has received funds from the government every year for these awards. So I plan to inquire about this to see if I will qualify when I start the program next fall.

p.s. there are no CRNAs in the UK. Unfortunately the UK does not always keep up with the times!

I just found out about the traineeship $$$ our school gets.
They take the apprx 35,000 and divide it up among all the students. Let me know if you need details and are still interested, I'll look into details for you.

Qwiigley,
I would be interested to know what the stipulations are for receiving these awards. Are you allowed to work and receive some type of assistance from the traineeship? The school where I have been accepted informed that it is quite feasible to work part-time after the first nine months of didactic and clinical. Since the traineeship is government funded, I am sure the same rules apply for all schools.

Thanks
