Why is it that people respond to postings on this thread not realizing it is under the Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specialty? Just curious as to how that happens.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking since you started a new thread about posting on a thread . . .which thread are you talking about? Did you mean "forum"?

Anyway, on the first page of allnurses that opens, there is a choice at the bottom to see today's posts . . I click on that and all of today's posts are there in descending order from the newest to the oldest post and they are from all the forums. So I just look at the questions I'm interested in and that could be anywhere. I don't stick to one forum . . .

I know what your talking about...I've noticed it a lot more lately. (I lurk a lot). I think it's like stevielynn said, the postings on the opening page have the thread titles, but don't list what forum they belong to. Then, people read and respond and most likely don't look up at the top of the page to see what forum they're responding in (ie. giving undergrad examples when CRNA school examples were asked for implicitly by being in the nurse anesthetist forum).

I feel like I"m rambling. 4 12's in the CVICU (or anywhere for that matter) will do that to a soul.

I guess that I feel if I have something to say, I respond. It's just kind of that simple. Isn't that what this forum is about? To share info?

Is there a reason why we shouldn't respond? The way I see it is that CRNA's are RN's.

Just trying to figure out if I'm doing something "wrong"...?

No one is doing anything "wrong". I just find that when reading someone's post about specific SRNA-related question or CRNA-program question, people will respond about ADN programs and don't realize they're responding on the Nurse Anesthetist/CRNA FORUM. I just didn't know how that could happen since I don't visit the main board or other forums. As I originally stated, I was JUST CURIOUS and not intending to insult or offend anyone.

Marie LPN, i think he/she is talking about people who think we are talking about RN school vs. CRNA school. Nevertheless, i personally want input from scrub tech's and OR nurses, many a days have you guys helped me get through the day in a partially sane manner, you guys see things from a different point of view in the OR setting, and your input (and vice versa) makes us all better health care providers. cheese
