Question International CRNA's?

I plan on becoming a CRNA and am doing a lot of research into the anesthesia field. I was wondering if this degree is recognized in other countries, because I would like to work in other countries beside the US. The demand for CRNA's is high right now, but could there be a saturation of them in the future leading to decreased pay, opportunities? And since CRNA's do the same type of work as MDA could they be replaced, or could they pay go down because of a lesser need of MDA's? Will there always be two paths for administering anesthesia? If you have any information this and if possible the international aspects of this I would greatly appreciate it, i've been looking everywhere and nobody seems to have the answers i'm looking for.

GO to the AANA.com website and look for information about the International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (INFA). There are some countries where ther are a number of nurse anesthetists but individual countries have their own standards and regulations so if you are looking to practice overseas you will have to find information in that country. There have been two paths for over 100 years so I am sure that CRNAs will be around for a long time yet. Go read "Watchful Care: a history of america's nurse anesthetists"!!!!!
